TrackerScope (“the Extension,” “we,” “us”) is a Chrome extension published by Astal Creates (“Astal Creates,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what data TrackerScope does and does not collect, and how it works.
TrackerScope runs entirely inside your browser. It does not have a backend server, does not collect or transmit your browsing history, and has nothing to sell. The only network request the Extension ever makes is to validate a license key with our payment provider when you choose to purchase TrackerScope Pro. Nothing else leaves your device.
TrackerScope does not collect, store, or transmit:
There is no Astal Creates server that TrackerScope reports to for its core functionality. Detection, blocking, grading, and the all-time dashboard all run and stay entirely on your device.
To detect trackers, TrackerScope needs permission to inspect the network requests and page activity of the sites you visit. This analysis happens locally, in your browser, in real time, it is used only to identify known tracking platforms (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or Hotjar) on the current page and to let you block their requests if you choose to. None of this activity data is sent anywhere.
TrackerScope also uses local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) to save your settings, your per-site blocking choices, and your all-time dashboard statistics. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to Astal Creates or any third party. It is removed automatically if you uninstall the Extension or clear your browser's extension storage.
TrackerScope Free requires no account, no sign-up, and no payment information of any kind.
If you choose to purchase TrackerScope Pro, checkout is handled entirely by our payment processor, Polar. Any payment details and the email address you provide at checkout are collected and processed by Polar under Polar's own privacy policy, not by Astal Creates directly. After checkout, Polar emails you a license key.
When you paste that license key into the Extension's Upgrade tab, TrackerScope makes a single network request to Polar to validate the key and unlock Pro features. This request contains the license key only, it does not include your browsing history, your activity, or any data about the sites you visit. This is the only network request TrackerScope ever makes.
Astal Creates does not sell, rent, or trade user data, because TrackerScope does not collect any user data to begin with.
TrackerScope is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, beyond what is described above.
Because TrackerScope processes everything locally and has no backend server storing your activity, there is no central database of user browsing data that could be exposed in a breach. Data stored locally in your browser is protected by your browser's own security model.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrackerScope after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
